Job summary

MBP is seeking experienced leaders for complex design and construction projects in the Washington/Baltimore DC metropolitan area. The role emphasizes owner representation, cost/schedule/quality oversight, and coordination with contractors, designers, and accreditation authorities on secure facilities and related IT/AV systems.

Candidates should have 10+ years of combined education/experience, with knowledge of ICD-705, strong QA/QC, and proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field with 10+ years of related experience; ICD-705 knowledge
• OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire
• Knowledge of codes, materials, methods and tools used in construction, repair or renovation work
• Experience in contract administration, change management, construction quality assurance and project controls
• Ability to read and interpret plans and contract specifications

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-construction and construction phase owner representation for medium- to large-scale projects
• Manage cost, schedule and/or quality on behalf of the client/owner
• Lead or participate in progress meetings and prepare minutes
• Perform QA inspections to verify compliance with contract requirements
• Review change order proposals for entitlement and price and negotiate as needed
• Coordinate reviews and testing with accreditation authorities and other stakeholders
• Monitor closeout requirements including owner training, manuals and warranties
