Job summary

Carrington Mortgage Services seeks a Sr. Second Lien Release Analyst to evaluate and resolve complex second lien mortgage loans, validate lien enforceability, and guide recovery strategies. You will own loan-level analysis, coordinate with investors and internal teams, and ensure audit-ready documentation.

The role involves preparing foreclosure bids, supporting charge-offs when needed, and maintaining accurate servicing records with strong Excel-based portfolio analysis skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in mortgage default servicing, including second lien research and foreclosure or recovery strategy.
• Experience with subordinate-lien servicing and investor/client requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Validate lien enforceability and quantify loss exposure to determine resolution strategy.
• Generate and review monthly Second Liens Reports and identify follow-up actions.
• Conduct title research to verify ownership and lien position.
• Prepare foreclosure bid recommendations and support investor approvals.
• Manage investor approval process and coordinate with internal departments.
