Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Sr Second Lien Release Analyst to evaluate and resolve complex second lien mortgage loans by validating lien enforceability, quantifying loss exposure, and recommending disposition strategies within authority.

You will own loan-level analysis and documentation through investor approval and coordinate with internal teams to protect lien positions and maximize recoveries.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in mortgage default servicing with second lien, title and lien analysis.
• Experience with investor approvals, foreclosure or loss recovery strategies.
• Familiarity with subordinate-lien servicing and senior-lien bidding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze second lien loan files to validate lien status and enforceability.
• Generate and review monthly Second Liens Reports and identify loans needing action.
• Conduct property, title, and lien research to verify ownership and lien position.
• Prepare foreclosure bid recommendations with supporting analysis and payoff details.
• Own investor approvals, present strategy, and escalate exceptions as needed.
• Lead bidding activity, coordinate funds and monitor sale results.
• Prepare charge-off requests with full justification and coordinate with departments.
• Maintain audit-ready records and document decision logic for reviews.
