Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Loss Claim Recovery Analysis Analyst who will perform financial reconciliations on liquidated loans and identify recovery opportunities to mitigate losses for CMS and its clients. The role involves researching incurred losses, determining responsibility, and communicating findings to investors, with a focus on timely, well-documented analyses.

The position requires strong accounting background, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple data

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Associate/Bachelor Degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Two or more years mortgage servicing experience in default areas (Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Default MI Claims, Loss Mitigation, Recovery, etc.).
• Previous FHA, VA, USDA and PMI claims experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile all loan advances once the GSE or Government Mortgage Insured expense claim has been paid.
• Maintain updates in LoanServ and input assign and completion tasks on the action date.
• Respond to and correct issues identified during Quality Review within 24 hours.
• Learn new skills and expand job knowledge to improve duties.
• Maintain monthly performance in alignment with quality expectations.
• Provide detailed written explanation for decisioned losses to dispute financial impact.
