Job summary

Nextpower LLC seeks a detail-oriented accounting professional to lead SEC reporting, technical accounting, quarterly and annual close, and coordination with external auditors. You will prepare financial statements, disclosures, and SEC filings while partnering with Finance, Legal, Tax, and FP&A.

The ideal candidate has strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems (NetSuite/Oracle) and Workiva.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement presentation.
• Experience with quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification preferred.
• Public accounting and SEC reporting experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly and annual SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K) filings.
• Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures per U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
• Support SEC filings (8-K, registration statements) as needed.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for external reporting deliverables.
• Maintain documentation and audit trails for reported amounts and disclosures.
• Coordinate with external service providers for XBRL tagging and related work.
• Support quarterly and annual close processes and schedules.
