Job summary

Owlet Baby Care, Inc. seeks an SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager to own external filings and lead complex accounting research. You will work with executives and auditors across revenue recognition, debt/equity classifications, and stock compensation.

The role requires strong US GAAP knowledge, experience at a publicly traded company, and collaboration with FP&A, Legal, and Investor Relations. Remote/hybrid options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA license preferred.
• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, mix of public and private/SEC reporting.
• Strong US GAAP and SEC reporting knowledge; experience at a public company is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review SEC filings (10-Q/10-K/8-K and proxy) with footnotes and MD&A.
• Maintain SEC reporting tools and coordinate disclosures cross-functionally.
• Draft technical memos on complex transactions (ASC 606, debt/equity).
• Monitor GAAP/SEC changes; lead impact assessments and implementation.
• Support SOX/ICFR program, assist with controls design and testing.
• Serve as main contact with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audit.
• Draft and maintain accounting policies with consistent application.
• Support close process in complex areas and collaborate with FP&A, Legal, IR.
