Job summary

Happen Bank, formerly LendingClub, seeks a SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager in San Francisco. You will prepare SEC filings, research complex accounting issues, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial reporting.

The role emphasizes process improvements, internal controls, and leveraging AI to enhance efficiency. Required: 4+ years in SEC reporting/technical accounting with strong GAAP knowledge; CPA a plus; bank/financial services experience preferred.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, or related field.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
CPA license is a plus.
Experience with banking/financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A.
Research complex accounting matters and document conclusions.
Collaborate across Finance and business teams on product and financing transactions.
Monitor new accounting standards and SEC rulemaking; implement disclosure requirements.
Improve reporting processes and internal controls related to SEC reporting and SOX.
