Job summary

Savers Value Village is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant – SEC Reporting to enhance financial reporting, debt and cash flow accounting, and tax-technical research. This remote-friendly role partners with the SEC reporting Senior Manager and cross-functional teams.

The position requires CPA, a bachelor’s or master’s in accounting/finance, and at least four years of accounting experience, including SEC filings. Hybrid/remote options are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Experience with debt accounting and cash flow preparation.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC Regulations S-K and S-X.
• Experience preparing or reviewing SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
• CPA license is required; degree in accounting/finance.
• Minimum of four years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience serving SEC registrants preferred.

Responsibilities

• Account for debt and deferred compensation.
• Prepare the statement of cash flows.
• Assist with financial statements under U.S. GAAP and SEC rules.
• Conduct technical accounting research on derivatives, stock-based compensation, leases, and acquisitions.
• Support implementation of new accounting guidance and related processes.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and manage PBC requests.
• Lead ad hoc finance projects and SOX controls.
• Collaborate across finance for timely, accurate reporting.
