Job summary

Fortune-recognized Industry Leader in the United States is seeking an External Financial Reporting Manager to oversee SEC reporting, consolidations, compliance, and external reporting initiatives.

In this high-visibility role, you will work closely with executive leadership, external auditors, and the Audit Committee to drive critical financial reporting initiatives and ensure transparency of the company’s financial results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Active CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred, ideally at Manager or Senior Manager level for publicly traded clients.
• Strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements and financial statement preparation.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial consolidation processes.
• Experience in large public company reporting environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to partner with executive leadership, auditors, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee external reporting, consolidations, compliance activities, and financial governance.
• Lead monthly financial consolidation process ensuring accuracy and timeliness of results.
• Manage Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other SEC filings.
• Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Oversee internal controls, SOX compliance initiatives, and governance activities.
• Support executive leadership through financial reporting, analysis, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting professionals in the reporting function.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, compliance, and accuracy.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, operations, internal audit, and executives on key projects.
