CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to evolve the Find Care search experience with large-scale information retrieval. You will guide teams building high-impact search capabilities to help millions of members discover providers and care options.

You will develop and optimize search algorithms, apply ML techniques for relevance tuning, and integrate cutting-edge tech like LLMs to enhance capabilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with depth in search or data-intensive systems.
• 3+ years in Information Retrieval concepts, query understanding, relevancy and ranking.
• Experience in AI-driven coding tools (Claude Code, Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize search algorithms and systems using Elastic/OpenSearch.
• Fine-tune search relevance with classification and ranking models.
• Explore Agentic Solutions, RAG, and LLMs to enhance search capabilities.
• Analyze search data and performance to drive improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Develop and evaluate analytical models for search-related problems.
• Use Python to examine large volumes of search data.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
