Job summary

Greene, Tweed is seeking an Application Engineer-III to translate customer requirements into high-performance solutions using GT’s advanced materials and manufacturing processes. You will partner with global customers, commercial squads, and operations teams to champion product development from concept to delivery.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, CAD/FEA-based design analysis, and mentoring engineers, with up to 20% travel for customer meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Engineering required.
• 6-10 years in engineering or design environment.
• Experience using 3D CAD software; knowledge of FEA systems preferred.
• Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office.
• Ability to work in cross-functional team environment.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Experience in polymer, plastics, elastomer design/manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles, Yellow Belt preferred.
• Experience with material testing and data analysis preferred.
• Willingness to travel 10-20% for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex customer requirements into high-performance solutions using GT materials and processes.
• Partner with global customers, sales, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet design needs.
• Lead design proposals and ensure alignment with customer expectations and GT capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and technicians, fostering technical training and development.
• Represent GT at technical committees and industry events to influence standards.
• Deliver technical presentations to customers and broad audiences.
