Job summary

Times Supermarket in Hawaii, Honolulu, seeks a Seafood Department Supervisor to manage all aspects of the seafood department. You will cut, trim and prepare seafood products while delivering standard customer service.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling, processing invoices, inventory control, and ensuring quality and freshness of seafood products. Must have a high school diploma and a valid food handling license.

Qualifications

• High school / Secondary school diploma or GED is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to operate machinery.
• Possesses a food handling license.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers within ten feet and four seconds of contact.
• Supervises and recommends disciplinary action for associates in department.
• Manages schedules, assigns work, trains, enforces Company policies and SOPs, productivity and communication with associates.
• Process invoices, department reports, employee appraisals, inventory and supply ordering.
• Reads and services customer orders, weighs and prices products for customers.
• Pulls items to be cut and prepped for the day from the freezer.
• Cuts filets, chunks, and cubes per company standards.
• Stocks and rotates seafood items, maintains freshness and quality, removes damaged items.
• Displays merchandise on showcase per schematic.
• Adds ice to seafood display case and prepares poke and other seafood products from recipes.
• Completes basic cleaning of department, by washing and sanitizing work tools and area.
• Keeps seafood chill organized and clean, bale boxes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by manager.
