Job summary

Epiq Solutions in Maryland is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead development of SDR platforms, aligning customer needs with product strategy and technical execution across multiple programs.

You will define system requirements, guide architecture, and collaborate with product management, customers, and engineering teams through concept, prototype delivery, and commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in radio or RF hardware development.
• Broad technical understanding of SDR systems, including RF front ends, digital hardware, firmware, and software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• US citizenship required for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams through SDR hardware and system development.
• Define system requirements and guide architectural decisions across programs.
• Develop high-level system architectures and interface definitions.
• Support lifecycle from concept through NPI and production.
• Coordinate trade studies and risk mitigation plans.
