Qualifications

• More than 2 years of proven success in SDR roles, SaaS experience desirable.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding goals for meetings, leads, or pipeline.
• Advanced consultative discovery and qualification skills.
• Prospecting into complex organizations with multiple collaborators.
• Strong verbal and written communication with professional demeanor.
• CRM, sales tools, LinkedIn, and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive qualified client meetings and pipeline via outbound prospecting and coordinated outreach.
• Invite key personas to in-person and virtual Cengage events to develop opportunities.
• Build multi-channel outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
• Research institutions to identify goals, influencers, and buying groups; tailor messaging.
• Navigate complex accounts with multiple stakeholders to generate momentum.
• Nurture leads until sales-ready and provide clear handoffs to partners.
• Align with Sales to prioritize accounts and optimize follow-up.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and use data to set priorities.
• Support onboarding and mentoring of peers; contribute to pilots and process improvements.
