Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the SDN control plane team responsible for scalable VPC networking across large GPU fleets. You will own architecture, implementation, and production operations of distributed systems that program multi-tenant networks.

You will mentor senior engineers, define roadmaps, and collaborate with data-plane teams to deliver low-latency, highly available networking. A strong background in distributed systems and SDN is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in distributed systems or cloud networking.
• 5-7+ years managing senior/staff-level engineers.
• Deep knowledge of SDN and network virtualization (VXLAN/Geneve, VPCs).
• Experience building large-scale control planes and fleet-wide config propagation.

Responsibilities

• Define the roadmap for the VPC control plane and evolve network virtualization systems.
• Oversee distributed control-plane services design (state reconciliation, APIs, policy compilation).
• Lead reliability, incident response, and performance benchmarking for multi-tenant services.
• Mentor and grow a team of distributed systems engineers, setting standards.
