Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager, SDN Control Plane to lead the team building the scalable control plane for VPC networking across large-scale GPU fleets. In this hands-on leadership role, you will own the architecture, implementation, and production operation of the distributed systems that program multi-tenant virtual networks.

You will move features from commit to production within days while mentoring a team of engineers and collaborating with data-plane and cloud product

Qualifications

• 10+ years in distributed systems or cloud networking engineering.
• 5-7+ years experience managing senior/staff-level engineers.
• Deep knowledge of SDN and network virtualization (VXLAN/Geneve, VPCs).
• Hands-on experience building large-scale control planes and Go/Kubernetes controllers.

Responsibilities

• Define the roadmap for the VPC control plane and evolve network virtualization.
• Oversee distributed control-plane services, state reconciliation, and policy compilation.
• Lead reliability engineering, incident response, and API-latency benchmarking.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers, setting technical standards for the team.
