Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine in Irving, TX is seeking a Senior SDET/QA Automation Engineer to join our hybrid team. You will design and implement automated tests for web and API layers using C#/Java/Python and Selenium WebDriver.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in software testing or QA automation, strong SQL skills, and experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or TeamCity).

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software testing or QA automation.
• Hands-on programming in C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and API automation.
• Ability to create and scale automation frameworks.
• SQL and data validation across systems.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, service-level, integration, and end-to-end testing using C#/Java/Python and Selenium WebDriver.
• Validate application behavior beyond the UI service responses, data transformations, event flows, and downstream system impacts.
• Assist with solutions to validate complex scenarios at a code or infrastructure level.
• Analyze automation failures, identify root causes, reduce test flakiness, and improve automation reliability.
• Investigate complex application, automation, data, integration, and environment issues using logs, metrics, traces, and telemetry.
• Determine root cause of issues (database, file systems, etc.) and work with Development teams to resolve them.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure results provide meaningful feedback for build/deploy/release decisions.
• Support release readiness activities with clear test results, risk indicators, and quality recommendations.
• Support planned production releases and critical off-hours deployments as needed.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; must be a quick learner.
• Soft skills: strong communication, presentation, documentation, and team coordination; must be flexible for urgent quality-related tasks.
