Job summary

NTT DATA Services in Westlake, Texas is seeking a Senior SDET Engineer to design and implement automated test strategies for web apps, APIs, and databases. You will lead test management, build scalable automation frameworks, and collaborate across product, development, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

The role emphasizes hands-on automation using Playwright, RestAssured, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG, with CI/CD and cloud testing on Azure/AWS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Agile development methodology and Jira tool.
• 5+ years of experience in testing distributed applications at multiple layers of the technology stack.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Test Management lifecycle.
• 6+ years of strong working knowledge of Relational Databases with PL/SQL and complex queries.
• 6+ years of strong experience in test automation design and execution using RestAssured, Playwright, Karate, Cucumber, TestNG.
• 5+ years of strong knowledge of continuous integration and deployment – GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, Docker, SonarQube.
• Experience with Azure/AWS cloud technologies and DevOps/CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Stock Plan Services/Brokerage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web apps, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
• Lead end-to-end test management including planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, reporting, and release validation.
• Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright, RestAssured, Karate, Cucumber, and TestNG.
• Design automation solutions for functional, integration, regression, API, UI, and end-to-end testing to improve coverage and release quality.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies using Jira and integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines with GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, SonarQube.
• Leverage Azure or AWS cloud platforms to support testing in cloud-native and distributed environments.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, test reports, automation architecture documents, and quality metrics.
