Job summary

Comprehensive Resources Inc. in Irving, TX, is seeking an SDET/QA Automation Engineer with strong C# coding to join a hybrid 12-month contract W2.

The role requires 7+ years in software testing, hands-on C# programming, and experience with Selenium WebDriver and API automation. You will design and maintain automation frameworks, validate complex scenarios beyond UI, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software testing, test automation, or quality engineering.
• Strong hands-on programming experience in C#.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver (web UI automation) and API automation (REST/SOAP).
• Experience creating/maintaining automation frameworks from scratch (web, API, service-level, end-to-end).
• Strong SQL and data validation experience across systems.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or TeamCity).
• Mortgage/Financial services or regulated domain knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API, service-level, integration, and end-to-end testing using C# and Selenium WebDriver.
• Validate application behavior beyond the UI service responses, data transformations, event flows, and downstream system impacts.
• Assist with solutions to validate complex scenarios at a code or infrastructure level.
• Analyze automation failures, identify root causes, reduce test flakiness, and improve automation reliability.
• Investigate complex application, automation, data, integration, and environment issues using logs, metrics, traces, and telemetry.
• Determine root cause of issues (database, file systems, etc.) and work with Development teams to resolve them.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure results provide meaningful feedback for build/deploy/release decisions.
• Support release readiness activities with clear test results, risk indicators, and quality recommendations.
• Support planned production releases and critical off-hours deployments as needed.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; must be a quick learner.
• Soft skills: strong communication, presentation, documentation, and team coordination; must be flexible for urgent quality-related tasks.
