Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Sr. SDET with 5+ years of experience to ensure the quality, performance, and scalability of our products in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

You will own performance baselines, build and use a shared testing framework, and drive automated regression checks in CI/CD. The role involves mentoring teammates and collaborating with DevOps, infra, and development teams to improve system resilience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in performance, scalability, or reliability engineering or testing.
• Hands-on with at least one modern load-testing tool (k6, Gatling or Locust).
• Experience using observability tooling to isolate root cause and CI/CD integration.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and at least one major cloud (GCP, AWS, or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Performance baselines for critical services: SLIs, SLOs, latency, throughput, and error targets.
• Shared performance framework and prod-like environments (Kubernetes and cloud) with PoCs.
• Automated performance regression checks in CI/CD with trend reports.
• Load, stress, soak, and spike testing and capacity planning for peak events.
• Root cause analysis of bottlenecks across API, database, queue, and frontend layers with traces and logs.
• Understand distributed systems, microservices, concurrency, rate limiting; influence decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to capability-building to raise the performance bar.
