Job summary

iCapital seeks a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to advance automation across the platform. You’ll blend hands-on development with leadership, understand existing automation frameworks, and enhance them while collaborating with engineers and product managers for feature-based testing.

The role emphasizes building robust test suites, integrating with CI/CD, and applying a wide range of testing types including API, performance, and load testing; in-office Mon-Thu with remote Fridays.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of QA engineering delivery experience.
• 4+ years of delivery within Agile SDLC/teams with CI/CD.
• Proficient in Java with focus on BDD and TDD and design patterns in CI/CD.
• Experience with Java microservices, REST APIs, and exposure to React frontend.
• Familiar with Agile development approaches.
• Technologies: Java, JavaScript, IntelliJ/Eclipse.
• CI/CD tools: Maven, Sonar, Git, TeamCity/Jenkins, Docker.
• Exposure to banking/finance environments preferred.
• Testing: JUnit, Playwright, Protractor, JMeter or similar.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement robust automated test suites.
• Integrate automated test suites with build/deploy processes.
• Maintain automated tests for design/architecture changes.
• Integrate automation framework with JIRA and other tools.
• Create/manage/utilize defect workflows with automated test execution.
• Design and publish metrics to support automation testing.
• Build and implement performance test suites.
• Perform Functional, API, Automation, Performance and Load testing.
