Job summary

PEMCO seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET) to own testing for PEMCO’s enterprise data platforms, data lakes, and analytics solutions.

You will design automated testing frameworks, validate complex data transformations, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines with a focus on insurance data domains. You’ll collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, AI, and Product teams to ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across cloud data environments and reporting platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, SDET, or related roles.
• 3+ years testing enterprise data platforms, warehouses, or data lakes.
• 5+ years of hands-on SQL and data validation expertise.
• Experience with CI/CD in cloud data environments.
• Strong insurance data domain knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies for enterprise data platforms and pipelines.
• Create reusable data validation utilities and testing frameworks.
• Implement white-box, API, and regression tests across data environments.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Product teams to align quality with business goals.
• Investigate defects and data anomalies to determine root causes and fixes.
