Job summary

Early Warning is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to drive automated testing across large-scale API, web, and mobile interfaces. You will design test strategies, plan automation, and integrate tests into CI/CD.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and delivering high-quality software in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in a hybrid model with locations including Phoenix, AZ and Chicago, IL, offering a competitive base salary and discretionary incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.
• 5+ years’ experience developing software or test automation frameworks using two of Java, Ruby, Node.js or Objective C (Java preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD and integrating automated testing.
• Experience implementing test automation frameworks for API, web or mobile platforms using Appium, Selenium, WebDriver, Rest-Assured, and Cucumber.
• Experience with AWS or Cloud, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics).
• Background and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Implements an automated test structure in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop automated component, system integration (E2E), regression, backward compatibility and performance tests.
• Execute automated and manual test suites and ensure quality prior to production release.
• Report defects to development teams and manage defects through resolution.
• Create test artifacts including strategy, plans, cases, and summaries.
• Improve and optimize testing processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with teams to improve product quality.
• Provide training and mentorship to quality engineering team members.
• Support risk management and data security efforts.
