Job summary

Network Optix in Burbank, CA is seeking a Senior SDET for Web to advance automation, API validation, and CI performance. You will build Python-based frameworks, scale large test suites, and collaborate with development teams to shift quality left.

The role emphasizes AI-assisted tooling, containerized environments, and reliable, scalable testing across the web application. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, strong debugging skills, and a passion for reducing flaky tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software engineering or test automation experience.
• Proven experience designing automated tests for web applications.
• Proven experience designing and implementing API-level test automation.
• Preferred: containers and virtual machines environments, including debugging.
• Preferred: GUI automation for Qt-based desktop apps.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the technical direction of the web automation roadmap.
• Lead the expansion of API-level automation for web apps.
• Optimize large test suites to keep CI cycles fast.
• Partner with development teams to shift quality earlier in the lifecycle.
• Maintain Python-based automation frameworks.
• Identify and resolve flaky tests to uphold a zero-flake baseline.
• Debug complex automation failures using logs and traces.
• Configure and manage test environments built on containers and VMs.
• Adopt AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test generation and debugging.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
