Job summary

Quanata, LLC seeks an accomplished Senior SDET to build and scale quality platforms, automation, and AI-enabled testing. You will collaborate across QA, Engineering, and Security to deliver reliable software and embed checks into CI/CD workflows.

You will mentor teammates, shape testing practices, and measure improvements in coverage, speed, and defect detection across cloud-based environments. Remote-first, US-wide opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 6–8 years of experience in software testing, including 3+ years building test automation frameworks or shared testing platforms.
• Strong programming skills, including Python, with experience applying software design and maintainability practices to shared frameworks and tools.
• Broad hands-on testing experience across APIs, services, user interfaces, and platform integrations, including functional, integration, reliability, and performance testing.
• Hands-on experience building and evaluating AI-assisted testing solutions, including agent workflows, evaluation criteria, tool permissions, data protection, and failure handling.
• Experience delivering reusable tooling for multiple teams, with product thinking, documentation, and adoption support.
• Strong experience with cloud environments, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability, including integrating test frameworks into workflows.
• Hands-on security testing experience covering authentication, authorization, API security, and sensitive-data handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain shared automation frameworks, internal services, and developer tools for QA and engineering teams.
• Partner with QA and engineering to validate functionality, integration, reliability, performance, and usability across layers.
• Build and evaluate AI-assisted and agent-based testing capabilities with repeatable evaluations and proper oversight.
• Develop and automate security testing for APIs, applications, and platforms; partner with Security teams to verify fixes.
• Test AI-enabled tooling for incorrect outputs, prompt injection, information exposure, and failures.
• Integrate reusable quality and security checks into CI/CD workflows with clear diagnostics and documented test data.
• Investigate failures and production issues in shared tools using targeted experiments and feedback.
• Drive adoption through documentation, demonstrations, and mentoring while measuring improvements in coverage and feedback time.
