Job summary

Choice Hotels in Scottsdale is seeking an SDET 3 to join the Quality Control organization. The role focuses on building robust automation libraries, ensuring repeatable testing, and integrating tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

You will lead automation efforts with Java, Maven, Git, and AWS, mentor teammates, and collaborate with developers and product teams to improve quality across AI, API, web, and mobile apps.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of equivalent experience and/or a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Java, Maven, Git, AWS, and AI.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Harness.
• Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication; strong time management.

Responsibilities

• Actively contribute to peer code reviews.
• Leverage and improve automation framework functionality and coding standards.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Research and implement new platforms and technologies.
• Integrate and maintain test suites in the CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business teams to optimize automation strategies.
• Write, maintain, and analyze automated tests; report results.
• Document test steps and data for maintainability and repeatability.
• Execute tests, analyze results, and perform root cause analysis.
