Job summary

Amazon's Customer Service Technologies team in Seattle is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and build self-service tools that scale to serve millions of customers worldwide. You will own end-to-end architecture and implementation, mentor engineers, and drive reliability at scale.

You will influence technical direction, deliver complex features, and ensure high availability while enhancing customer experiences with AI-powered resolution systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end design, development, test and implementation of complex problems including planning, risk, trade-offs.
• Define and deliver complex features with engineers, scientists and product owners.
• Guide and ensure quality of architectural decisions across products and teams.
• Establish long-term success strategy for team-owned systems and best practices.
• Ensure existing platforms remain supported while contributing to next-generation solutions.
• Provide technical direction and mentor junior team members.
