Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. – B02 in Austin seeks a Software Development Engineer to build core onboarding components for the IAM Control Plane architecture. You will own the end-to-end delivery of scalable backend services used across AWS.

You will lead design discussions, mentor juniors, and drive the full software development lifecycle from conception to production, partnering with global teams for low-latency, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming in at least one language.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of systems.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or engineering team lead.

Responsibilities

• Own services end-to-end: design, implement, test features for global IAM backend.
• Mentor SDE-II and guide solutions with data-driven decisions.
• Drive prioritization, roadmap decisions and architectural outcomes.
• Build scalable, low-latency backend store with high availability.
