Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality across projects. You will write and review welding quality plans, supervise CWIs, and approve WPS/PQR while auditing fabricators and resolving disputed indications with engineers of record.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a current CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership, and strong knowledge of D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104, plus NDT expertise.

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or current CWI with 8+ years of inspection leadership.
• Solid command of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104.
• Experience writing welding quality programs for structural, industrial, or pipeline work.
• Credible with engineers, fabricators, and building officials; writes clear procedures.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and review reports.
• Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages; witness testing.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems; qualify NDT subcons.
• Resolve disputed indications with engineers of record; represent the company in weld reviews.
• Lead welding quality programs and provide guidance to project teams.
