Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality programs across projects. You will supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors, review procedures and welder qualifications, and audit fabricators to ensure compliance with applicable codes.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with 8+ years of leadership in welding inspection, plus strong knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, and API 1104. Expected travel and on-site work with variable shifts.

Qualifications

Candidates must be AWS SCWI, or current CWI with 8+ years of welding inspection including supervision.
Proficient in welding codes: AWS D1.1/D1.5/D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104.
Ability to write welding quality plans and procedures and review welder qualifications.

Responsibilities

Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and review their reports.
Approve WPS, PQR, and welder qualification packages; witness procedure qualification testing.
Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems and qualify NDT subcontractors.
Resolve disputed indications with engineers of record and represent the company in welding quality reviews.
