Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Senior Certified Welding Inspector III to lead welding quality across projects. You will write and review welding quality programs, supervise CWIs and Inspectors, approve WPS/PQR/welder qualifications, and audit fabricators in coordination with engineers of record.

The role requires AWS SCWI or a CWI with eight+ years of inspection leadership, strong codes (D1.1/ D1.5/ D1.8, ASME IX, API 1104), and ability to resolve disputed indications with engineers

Qualifications

• AWS SCWI or senior CWI with leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards.
• Experience writing welding quality plans.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, and approve welding quality plans, inspection procedures, and NDT procedures.
• Supervise CWIs and Welding Inspectors across projects and review their reports.
• Audit fabricators and erectors' welding quality systems and witness procedure qualification testing.
• Represent the company in welding quality reviews and with engineers of record.
