Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Scrum Master for multiple or larger-scale Agile teams with minimal supervision
• Shield teams from external interruptions and ensure teams are functional and productive
• Demonstrate servant leadership by removing impediments and facilitating decision-making
• Plan and organize work, enabling effective sprint planning and sprint management
• Capture and analyze team metrics such as burndown and velocity using Jira data
• Mentor team members, promote Agile thinking, and ensure process adherence
• Facilitate estimation activities including story points and Planning Poker
• Maintain backlog and task boards with Product Owners and teams
• Track impediments, risks, and dependencies to resolution
• Update improvement backlog with retrospective commitments and publish commitment and end-of-sprint reports

Our client seeks a Senior Scrum Master to guide Agile Working Groups within a multi-year data transformation that migrates an on-premises data warehouse to AWS. The role will facilitate Agile delivery across customer, finance, HR, and enterprise asset management domains. The ideal candidate will balance strong Agile leadership with practical flexibility, leverage Jira data to inform planning and metrics, and enable teams through servant leadership, impediment removal, and continuous improvement.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $70.00 to $80.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Scrum Master for multiple or larger-scale Agile teams with minimal supervision.

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years as a Scrum Master with 7+ years of project concepts and practices.
• Experience leading multiple Agile teams and working independently to resolve cross-team issues.
• Practical, non-purist Agile approach with flexibility to adapt to team needs.
• Data familiarity, including use of Jira data for metrics and planning, is a plus.
• Experience transitioning teams and organizations from waterfall to Agile methodologies.
• Excellent written, verbal, and electronic communication skills with ability to present persuasively.
• Effective collaboration with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Optional disclosure experience related to regulatory or oversight proceedings involving Duke Energy if applicable per instructions.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
