Job summary

Ethos is seeking a senior writer to craft TV, radio, and podcast scripts plus direct response content for 15 and 30 second formats. You will also develop UGC scripts from TV shoots for paid social across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube, and guide influencer-facing content to sound authentic rather than scripted.

You’ll contribute creative territories, on-set refinement, and collaboration with the Creative Director of Offline to ensure urgency and performance across channels.

Qualifications

• 8+ years writing for TV, radio, podcast and paid social or UGC channels.
• Deep understanding of direct response creative for TV and radio; know how to hook and CTA in 15/30s formats.
• Experience writing UGC and paid social scripts for Meta, TikTok, YouTube.
• Experience writing for influencer partnerships with authentic creator voice.
• On-set experience for TV/UGC shoots; adapt scripts in the moment.
• Strong sense of what makes performance creative convert and when to pivot.
• Fluent in AI tools for concepting and drafting, with sound judgment.
• Ability to generate a high volume of concepts without losing sharpness.
• Collaborative and fast-moving, works well with producers, editors, directors, and performance teams.

Responsibilities

• Concept and write scripts for TV, radio, and podcast, including direct response 15/30 second spots.
• Write UGC scripts captured during TV shoots and adapt for paid social across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Support influencer efforts with scripts and talking points that feel authentic to creators.
• Develop original creative territories and angles to keep Ethos urgent across broadcast and digital formats.
• Be present on TV and UGC shoots to help bring concepts to life.
• Collaborate with CD of Offline, producers, editors, and marketing to inform future writing.
• Use AI tools when helpful, but maintain personal taste and judgment.
• Stay current on direct response best practices and creator culture.
• Write with a performance lens: hooks, narrative arc, and a reason to act.
