Job summary

Markon is building a talent pool of SCIF Inspector II professionals to support Intelligence Community facility and secure construction missions. This pipeline identifies experienced inspectors to conduct SCIF inspections and ensure ICD 705 compliance, coordinating with FSOs and security teams.

Selected candidates will be considered for future openings requiring hands-on inspection, documentation, and coordination of secure facility activities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Favorably adjudicated CI polygraph or willingness to obtain.
• Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field; 6 years of directly relevant experience may substitute for a degree
• 4+ years of SCIF inspection experience under ICD 705 and IC 705-1
• Proficiency in at least three of the following inspection disciplines: physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security
• ICD 705 Inspector Training
• CDSE CD116 (TEMPEST Fundamentals) or awareness-level TEMPEST training
• Experience operating inspection and test equipment and documenting technical findings
• Strong technical writing, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct routine SCIF inspections and assessments in accordance with ICD 705, IC 705-1, and applicable technical standards.
• Perform inspections across multiple disciplines, including physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security.
• Operate applicable inspection and test equipment to evaluate facility compliance and document findings.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive inspection reports, findings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Facility Security Officers (FSOs), customers, engineers, construction teams, security professionals, and other stakeholders throughout the inspection process.
• Identify compliance deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and track remediation efforts through resolution.
• Support multiple inspection activities and priorities within a fast‑paced, mission‑focused environment.
