Job summary

Markon is seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Inspector to spearhead multidisciplinary SCIF inspections and ensure ICD 705 compliance across secure facility projects. You will lead teams across physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security disciplines.

Ideal candidates bring TS/SCI with CI poly, a Bachelor's in Engineering or Physical Sciences, and 7+ years of SCIF inspection experience, plus leadership and clear technical reporting abilities.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field; 8 years of directly relevant experience may substitute for a degree
• 7+ years of SCIF inspection experience under ICD 705 and ICD 705-1
• ICD 705 Inspector Training and CDSE CD116 TEMPEST training (NSA-approved)
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary inspection activities
• Strong technical writing, quality control, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary SCIF inspection teams and oversee activities across physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections of SCIF construction and facility requirements per ICD 705/705-1 and applicable standards.
• Serve as technical authority for complex inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Review inspection documents and perform quality control of junior inspectors’ reports.
• Mentor Inspector I and II personnel with technical guidance.
• Coordinate with customers, engineers, security professionals, and other stakeholders to resolve compliance issues.
• Support inspections of domestic and OCONUS facilities, including embassies.
• Prepare clear, accurate inspection reports, findings, and technical documentation.
