Job summary

Markon, Inc. is seeking a seasoned SCIF Inspector III (Senior/Lead Inspector) to lead multidisciplinary inspection teams ensuring compliance with ICD 705, ICD 705-1, and related security standards.

The role oversees complex secure facility projects, mentors junior staff, and coordinates with customers and engineers to resolve compliance issues. Ideal candidates bring 7+ years of SCIF inspection experience, strong technical writing, and demonstrated leadership in high-security environments,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related technical field; 8 years of directly relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• 7+ years of SCIF inspection experience under ICD 705 and ICD 705-1.
• Proficiency across SCIF inspection disciplines: physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary inspection activities and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCIF inspection teams and oversee activities across security, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security.
• Conduct inspections and assessments of SCIF construction and facility requirements per ICD 705/ICD 705-1.
• Serve as technical authority for complex inspection findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Review documentation and perform quality control of reports by junior inspectors.
• Mentor Inspector I/II personnel and coordinate with customers and engineers.
• Prepare clear, accurate inspection reports and technical documentation.
