Job summary

ecsfederal is seeking a Senior Scientist/Engineer serving as a Scientific Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) to support an ARPA-H Program Manager. The role emphasizes tissue and organoid manufacturing, organ preservation, and ex vivo perfusion within a translational bioengineering context.

This remote position requires a strong technical-to-clinical translation mindset and the ability to work across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience synthesizing complex scientific information into concise written and visual products for decision support.
• Subject-matter expertise in organ preservation, ex vivo perfusion, and transplant biology is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate technical data, experimental plans, and development pathways.
• Must be able to obtain a federal government Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and strategic support across ARPA-H program portfolio.
• Evaluate technologies in the context of clinical workflows and transplantation logistics.
• Conduct landscape analyses and technical diligence on emerging capabilities.
• Draft recommendations and briefing materials for program decision-makers.
• Identify subject-matter experts and potential performers across academia, industry, and government.
• Assist in program management tasks including meetings and site visits.
