Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Scientist to advance E3 ligase-focused molecular glue screening and target discovery within the IPP program in Thousand Oaks, CA. You will develop, validate, and translate screening results into novel degradation targets, collaborating with cross-functional teams across oncology, cardiovascular biology, and immunology.

You will lead assays and data analysis, contribute to publications, and help shape therapeutic strategies for challenging targets using induced proximity

Qualifications

Doctorate degree and relevant post-doc experience.
Alternatively, a Masters with 4+ years of relevant scientific experience.
Alternatively, a Bachelors with 6+ years of relevant scientific experience.

Responsibilities

Validate molecular glue screening hits and characterize mechanism.
Evaluate hits in disease-relevant models to identify targets.
Collaborate with chemistry and proteomics to build glue libraries.
Develop cell-based and biochemical assays for E3 ligase biology.
Contribute to project goals and communicate results across teams.
Present findings at conferences and in publications.
