Job summary

Amgen seeks a Director for Targeted Protein Degradation to lead scientific strategy within the Induced Proximity Platform (IPP). You will build capabilities, set a visionary program, and shepherd cross-functional collaborations to advance proximity-based therapeutics.

You will mentor a multidisciplinary team, engage with Therapeutic Areas and Research Informatics, and drive strategic external collaborations while shaping the long-range roadmap for drug discovery in this rapidly evolving field.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, or equivalent, with 4+ years of scientific experience.
• Master’s degree with 8+ years of scientific experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of scientific experience.
• Minimum 4 years of direct people management / leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership for Amgen's IPP target protein degradation strategy.
• Define and execute a bold scientific vision and build next-generation capabilities.
• Establish partnerships and drive innovation across induced proximity therapeutics.
