Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Scientist to advance E3 ligase biology and molecular glue discoveries within the IPP program in Thousand Oaks, CA. You will drive screening and validation of degraders, identify novel targets, and translate findings into therapeutic opportunities.

You will work across disciplines, leveraging oncology, immunology and cardiovascular biology insights to push forward high‑value targets, collaborate with chemistry and proteomics teams, and publish impactful results.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent with post‑doc/industry experience in relevant biology fields.
• Strong track record in molecular glue screening and target discovery.
• Experience with disease relevant models and HTS/assay automation.

Responsibilities

• Design workflows to validate molecular glue screening hits and characterize mechanisms.
• Evaluate hits in disease models to identify novel targets and opportunities.
• Collaborate with chemistry and IPP teams to build focused libraries.
• Develop cell-based and biochemical assays to study E3 ligase biology.
• Present findings at conferences and contribute to publications.
