Job summary

Amcor is seeking a senior materials science leader to build and execute R&D pipelines for resins, barriers and additives, with emphasis on sustainable materials and PCR usage. You will partner with internal and external teams to drive next-generation solutions for market-ready packaging.

The role demands strong program management, experience in plastics conversion technologies, and the ability to articulate value propositions with stakeholders across design, manufacturing, and supply chains.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in materials related discipline preferred.
• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in materials science, engineering, or equivalent.
• Proven program leadership in a corporate setting with strong PM practices.
• Proficient in materials science and impact on injection/blow molding processes.
• Knowledge of PET, PP, HDPE and related materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and decision making on new resin solutions and alternatives.
• Drive innovation and technology scouting in sustainability, materials focus.
• Provide technical guidance to internal/external customers as required.
• Establish inspection protocols and validate new product/material specs.
• Oversee resin trials and material qualification activities.
