Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a senior materials science leader to build and execute a research pipeline for next-generation resins and barriers, integrating PCR usage to boost sustainability. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to drive innovative solutions that align with business goals.

The role requires extensive experience in polymer materials, project management, and cross-functional leadership, with a focus on advancing materials for packaging applications.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in materials related discipline preferred.
• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in materials science or engineering.
• Proven program leadership in a corporate setting with strong PM practices.
• Proficient in material science and impact on injection and blow molding processes.
• Knowledge of PET, PP, HDPE; basic knowledge of alternative materials.
• Experience with plastics conversion technologies (extrusion, injection, blow molding, ISBM).
• Ability to work in a complex R&D environment.
• Establish and direct appropriate work standards.
• Ability to build relationships with vendors and external partners.
• Travel 10%.
