Job summary

Amcor Columbus is seeking a senior materials scientist to lead R&D on resins/barriers and to increase PCR usage in products. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to drive next-generation materials and sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities include guiding resin development, managing programs and budgets, and ensuring safety and compliance across projects, with a strong emphasis on cross-functional leadership and vendor collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a materials-related discipline preferred.
• 8-10+ years of relevant experience in materials science/engineering.
• Proven program leadership in a corporate setting; able to define and maintain effective program management practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and decision making on new resin solutions and alternatives.
• Drive innovation and technology scouting in sustainability, especially materials.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering, manufacturing and other stakeholders.
