Job summary

Stellaromics, a Boston-based biotech startup, is seeking a Senior Scientist, Computational Oncology to lead spatial biology initiatives and translate complex tumor data into actionable biology. You will own the analysis of high‑dimensional spatial and single‑cell datasets, interpret cell states, and drive methods for segmentation, deconvolution, and tissue architecture.

Qualifications

• PhD in cancer biology, molecular biology, genomics, computational biology, or related field.
• Working fluency in spatial and single–cell computational concepts like segmentation and deconvolution.
• Hands-on experience with major spatial platforms (Xenium, CosMx, GeoMx, MERSCOPE, Visium) or ability to stand up platforms.
• Industry biotech/pharma experience.
• Individual contributor role with hands-on execution emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Lead computational analysis and interpretation of high‑dimensional spatial and single‑cell oncology datasets.
• Analyze tumor microenvironment biology, including cellular composition and neighborhood dynamics.
• Develop analytical approaches for segmentation, deconvolution, and tissue architecture characterization.
• Collaborate with wet‑lab scientists on experimental design and validation.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain reproducible computational workflows.
