Job summary

Boston Medical Center’s Dries Lab seeks a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to develop scalable computational methods and high-performance software tools for spatial omics data analysis. The role blends software engineering with oncology, using R, SQL, and Rust to build robust analytical pipelines and support lab members in complex spatial datasets.

The candidate will plan and execute clinical studies, implement protocols, analyze data, and contribute to manuscripts with PIs.

Qualifications

  • PhD required in genomics, computational biology, or computer science, or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze clinical case data to evaluate research methods and assist design of protocols.
  • Advise staff on method development and protocol writing for abstracts.
  • Collaboratively design experimental protocols to achieve research objectives; modify methodologies as needed.
  • Record and analyze data using statistical software.
  • Interpret results with Principal Investigators and researchers; present findings at meetings.
  • Co-author abstracts and manuscripts; present research reports locally and nationally.
  • Conduct literature searches to locate new techniques or results.
  • Participate in ongoing clinical training and mentoring.
