Job summary

Singular Genomics seeks a Senior Scientist on the Bioinformatics team to expand our spatial biology platform, blending computational biology, assay development and software engineering. You will design targeted in situ panels, build automated analysis workflows, and develop tools in Python to enable meaningful spatial multiomics insights.

Collaboration across R&D will be essential as the service offering evolves.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in bioinformatics or computational biology.
• Experience analyzing spatial transcriptomics or single-cell data.
• Strong Python programming and ability to write reusable code.
• Experience building automated analysis workflows.
• Experience with Linux-based HPC environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize targeted spatial transcriptomics panels for tissue- and disease contexts.
• Develop computational tools for panel design, probe evaluation, and optimization.
• Build automated analysis workflows for spatial and single-cell data.
• Collaborate with biology and assay teams to improve probe performance.
• Evaluate panel performance using internal datasets and public references.
