Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Senior Scientist, Multiomics Discovery in Spring House, PA to lead mechanistic insights from spatial omics maps and build high‑throughput cellular platforms for immunology, neuroscience, and oncology.

You will design phenotypic assays (FACS), develop engineered cell models, and partner with computational scientists to enable rigorous data interpretation.

Qualifications

• PhD in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Systems biology or a related discipline is required.
• Post‑doctoral fellowship or industry equivalent with a track record is required.
• Minimum 3 years of biotech/pharma industry experience or deep technical post‑doc experience.
• Strong track record of high‑impact publications and presentations.
• Deep expertise with massively‑parallel perturbation using genetic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration across teams.
• Programming with R or Python is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, construct, and optimize genetic libraries for CRISPR perturbation and multiplexed studies.
• Develop and execute complex phenotypic assays (high‑content imaging, MPRA).
• Engineer and characterize immune‑relevant cellular models (organoids, co‑culture).
• Establish and optimize FACS‑based workflows and high‑throughput processing.
• Implement and refine screening platforms with robust library representation.
• Utilize organoid, co‑culture, and microenvironment systems (cell printers, 3D architectures).
• Drive assay innovation and troubleshoot complex challenges.
• Collaborate with computational scientists for data generation and interpretation.
• Perform basic computational data analysis and visualization.
• Cross‑train in spatial omics approaches and document results clearly.
• Present findings to multidisciplinary teams and support strategic planning.
