We are searching for the best talent for a Senior Scientist, Multiomics Discovery located in Spring House, PA.

Purpose:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Scientist to develop mechanistic insights from phenotypic assays that are based in spatial omics disease maps. The ideal candidate will lead the development of technically‑complex, high‑throughput cellular assay platforms that support discovery efforts in immunology, neuroscience, and oncology. The ideal candidate must have deep expertise in designing and constructing genetic libraries, implementing CRISPR‑based perturbation strategies, and building engineered cell systems that enable mechanistic insights and scalable experimentation. This role offers the opportunity to shape cutting‑edge experimental platforms that drive discovery and enable the systematic exploration of complex biological systems rooted in a deep, multimodal spatial understanding of disease biology.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, construct, and optimize genetic libraries for CRISPR‑based perturbation, reporter assays, over‑expression systems and multiplexed functional studies.
  • Develop and execute complex phenotypic assays, including high‑content imaging, pooled optical screens, and massively parallel reporter assays (MPRA).
  • Engineer and characterize advanced cellular models, including an emphasis on immune cells and models relevant to immunology, neuroscience, and oncology.
  • Establish and optimize FACS‑based workflows, including sorting strategies, multicolor panel design, and high‑throughput cell processing.
  • Implement and refine pooled and arrayed screening platforms, ensuring robust delivery, expression, and representation of perturbation libraries.
  • Utilize organoid, co‑culture, and microenvironment‑mimicking systems, leveraging technologies such as cell printers and 3D cellular architectures.
  • Drive assay innovation, troubleshooting complex technical challenges and introducing new methodologies to expand experimental capabilities.
  • Partner closely with computational scientists, ensuring high‑quality data generation, clear experimental metadata, and effective interpretation of multidimensional results.
  • Perform basic computational data analysis, including QC, exploratory analysis, and visualization, using standard computational approaches.
  • Cross‑train and develop a deep foundation in spatial omics approaches.
  • Document experimental design, execution, and results with clarity.
  • Present findings to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to strategic project planning, identifying opportunities where engineered cell systems and library‑based perturbations can advance key discovery efforts.
  • Expand skillset to other related genomics areas.
Qualifications
  • Education: PhD in Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Systems biology, Human biology or a related discipline is required.
  • Post-doctoral fellowship in a related field is required. Alternatively, industry experience with a proven track‑record of delivering completed complex projects will be considered.
Required:
  • A minimum of 3 years of biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience OR post‑doctoral / academic staff scientist experience in a deeply technical role is required
  • Strong track record of high‑impact scientific deliverables as evidenced by publications, presentations, and recognition within the scientific community.
  • Deep, technical expertise with massively‑parallel cell perturbation using genetic tools is required, including understanding of end‑to‑end workflows, methods limitations, and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and oral presentation skills are required.
  • Experience with complex models and genetic screens is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and functional areas is required.
  • Ability to apply novel approaches to address complex biology questions, as evidenced through strong peer‑reviewed publications is required
Preferred:
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python is preferred.
  • Experience with in‑vivo screens, histology and pathology is preferred.
