Job summary

Regeneron is seeking a Senior Associate Scientist in R&D Chemistry to advance the synthesis of small-molecule payloads and linker chemistries for antibody-drug conjugates across oncology and other therapeutic areas. You will design routes, execute multistep syntheses, and interpret spectroscopic data to confirm structures.

The role requires a M.S. in synthetic organic chemistry and 5–7 years of industry experience in drug discovery.

Qualifications

• M.S. in synthetic organic chemistry or related field required.
• Experience with drug discovery and modern organic/medicinal chemistry preferred.
• 5–7 years of industry drug discovery with small molecules is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day lab activities in R&D Chemistry with small-molecule syntheses and isolation/characterization.
• Troubleshoot, analyze data, and propose synthetic approaches for new targets.
• Discuss biology data and targets to guide SAR directions.
• Identify new strategies and technologies for synthetic execution of targets.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to advance pipeline goals.
• Represent R&D Chemistry in departmental meetings and with Regeneron groups.
