Qualifications

• M.Sc. in synthetic organic chemistry (or related) and familiarity with drug discovery processes and modern methods of synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry.
• 5–7 years of industry drug discovery experience with small molecules.
• Familiarity with peptidomimetics or antibody‑targeted therapeutics is a plus.
• Bonus experience with biological target validation, ADME/PK, PD/efficacy in medicinal chemistry contexts.

Responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day lab activities within the R&D Chemistry group, executing small‑molecule syntheses and isolations.
• Troubleshoot and analyze data, propose synthetic approaches for new targets.
• Discuss biological data and SAR directions within existing projects.
• Identify new strategies and technologies for synthetic execution of targets of interest.
• Work with cross‑functional teams and supervisor to progress technology and pipeline projects.
• Participate in departmental meetings to contribute expertise and represent the R&D Chemistry goals.
• Interact with other Regeneron groups to align projects and knowledge.
